Power Play - Primary Place Value and Number Line Games and Strategies

Come prepared to play games that teach the following place value concepts:  understanding 10's, 100's and 1 000's, comparing numbers, identifying place value, composing/decomposing numbers, number patterns using number lines, early rounding and expanding numbers.  Games will incorporate the use of number lines, cards, and regular spotted dice (place value dice optional).  Handout will contain gameboards, concept skill checklists for assessment, journal ideas. 

To Bring/Important Notes

COME PREPPARED TO PLAY:  BRING A DECK OF CARDS, 8 REGULAR DICE, COPY OF HANDOUT.. NUMBER LINES AND PLACE VALUE DICE OPTIONAL.
