“I don’t know what to make!” Finding Inspiration for Art Making

How often do you have students who spend the whole art lesson paralyzed and searching for ideas?  We will practice inspiring stories, imagination exercises, idea-generating explorations, and brainstorming games to get those creative wheels turning!

  • Twyla Exner
    Twyla Exner

    Twyla Exner is an artist and educator based in Prince George, BC.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Regina and a Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University.  She has worked as an artist in residence at elementary and high schools, taught art classes for children and adults at community centres, and worked as an educator at public art galleries.  Most recently she held the position of Director of Public Programs at Two Rivers Gallery.  Currently, she teaches courses in art and design for the College of New Caledonia and Sheridan College.
