Teaching Canada's Food Guide in the Classroom: A toolkit for BC Educators (K-8)

In this session participants will explore student-centered food and nutrition education and be introduced to a new toolkit that supports BC educators with teaching Canada's Food Guide to students in grades K-8. This toolkit was developed by the Province of BC in partnership with dietitians and educators, and has been piloted by teachers accross BC. Participants will come away with practical and grade-specific approaches and lesson plans to deliver food and nutrition education in a meaningful and safe way, while meeting the requirements for the BC curriculum.
