Emergency First Aid CPR-C (@PGSS - Special time 8:30-5:00)

Emergency First Aid is a WorkSafeBC Occupational Level 1 equivalent and can be used in the workplace. Using hands-on training and practice, this basic first aid course will give you confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. You will learn lifesaving skills such as CPR/AED and obstructed airway procedures to respond to adult, child and infant emergencies. You will also learn to recognize and respond to respiratory and circulatory emergencies including asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, and bleeding. 

Note: this is an 8 hour training session, therefore the workshop time will be 8:30am-5:00pm at PGSS, with a lunch break.

 

This course requires 8 hours instructional time.

 

Successful candidates will be awarded a certification through The Lifesaving Society, valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

- one piece of government issued photo ID

- pen or pencil & something to write on (clipboard etc)

- optional pocket mask with viral filter (please contact prior, to purchase new day of). Sanitized masks will be otherwise available for day-use. 

- optional mat or blanket 

All other resources will be provided.

    KD Contracting is a locally owned Prince George business focusing on Lifeguarding, Leadership, and First Aid Training. Starting as a lifeguard, our owner gained ample experience in a multitude of different environments. With this knowledge, they began pursuing advanced leadership certifications and have since become a seasoned instructor. Through The Lifesaving Society, they are a First Aid Instructor in SFA, EFA, BLS/HCP, AMOA, while holding a multitude of senior leadership lifeguarding certifications.
