Burnout & Compassion Fatigue: Awareness, Prevention, and Tools for Teachers and Helping Professionals

Burnout & Compassion Fatigue: Awareness, Prevention, and Tools for Teachers and Helping Professionals

Presented by Jade Mathiscyk, Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and Workshop Facilitator

About: The purpose of this workshop is to support the amazing educators in our district and surrounding area. While you have been consistently supporting students with their own mental health and needs, my hope is that educators will have a space to understand the importance of their own self-care and find ways to support themselves inside and outside of the classroom.

While attending this workshop you will identify areas of stress and burnout, and learn how to support yourself moving forward.  This workshop will include a combination of experiential learning and science-based insights, providing tools and resources to recover from and prevent Compassion Fatigue and Burnout. This workshop is intended to support teachers and other helping professionals with additional tools to continue the valuable work they are already doing.
