Krista grew up on her family's cattle ranch on the beautiful South shore of Francois Lake. A remote logging and ranching community called Grassy Plains, which is about an hour car ride from Burns Lake. Living Remotely, doesn't always provide many opportunities for young people to make friends. In Krista's situation, her horses became her friends. They provided her with a listening ear, connection, and a opportunity build confidence in many ways. Krista's passion has always been horses, but she also enjoys helping people. So when she first heard about Equine Assisted Learning - she knew it was her calling. She soon found herself enroute to Calgary, Alberta to become a certified. She often states "It's never too late to follow your dreams".
