Positive Living North (PLN) offers free, interactive workshops around healthier relationships, sexuality, and harm reduction. In this workshop, we will introduce the models we use to teach relationship skills like assertiveness, boundaries and communication through games and group discussions. We will begin by focusing on building skills applicable to all relationships from friendships, to classmates, to romantic partners through the SHARE model. We will end with some of the empathy building exercises that PLN brings into our SOGI workshops. Teachers will be able to try out these activities for themselves to take back to their classroom or book presentations for their classroom with any of PLN’s Community Health Educators.
Intermediate teachers, Secondary PE teachers, Planning teachers, counselors, Ab Ed workers
