Power Play - Primary Place Value Games and Strategies

Come prepared to play our favorite place value games that  incorporate the use of easy to find cards, and regular dice.  Conepts covered include:  using benchmark 10's and 100's, pattern counting, comparing numbers to 100, 1000, development of early rounding, composing/decomposing numbers, adding and subtracting multiples of 10 and 100, using number lines. You will see many student samples and receive concept skill checklists to help with assessment.  Ideas for adapting to virtual and social distancing will be shared throughout.  BRING A DECK OF CARDS AND 8 REGULAR SPOTTED DICE - OPTIONAL 1 - 100 NUMBER LINE AND PLACE VALUE DICE, PDF COPY OF HANDOUT
