Bringing the Outdoors into the Classroom

The experience of place-based education and specifically the interest in teaching outdoors has continued to grow and gain popularity. But what happens if you are unable to take your students outside of the traditional classroom?

This workshop will present various resources and ideas on how to bring different place based experiences into the classroom for a variety of topics. The use of technology and social media will be present in addition to using strategies common to non-traditional learning spaces (i.e. museums, conservancys)
